Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken wings drumettes and flats
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.75 cup hot sauce buffalo style
- 3 tbsp butter
- 0.5 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels—this is crucial for crispiness. Wet wings will steam rather than crisp.
- In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss the dry wings in this seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
- Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if needed. Set air fryer to 400°F and cook for 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
- While wings cook, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and honey. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through and well mixed.
- When wings are golden and crispy (they should be deep golden brown), transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the warm buffalo sauce over the wings and toss gently but thoroughly to coat.
- Transfer sauced wings to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately with ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing for dipping. Serve with celery and carrot sticks on the side for a classic presentation.
