Crispy Belgian Waffles
Fluffy inside, crispy outside Belgian waffles made with buttermilk and cornstarch. Perfect for weekend brunch topped with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups buttermilk
- 3 eggs eggs
- 6 tbsp butter melted
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Belgian waffle maker according to manufacturer's instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cornstarch, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
- Lightly grease waffle maker. Pour batter into waffle maker and cook according to manufacturer's instructions until golden and crispy (3-5 minutes per waffle).
- Serve waffles immediately topped with fresh berries, whipped cream, maple syrup, or your favorite toppings.
